As Bush gets more and more desperate his behavior gets more and more pathetic. In this story he is asking the Catholic Church for assistance in his war on queers and his war on abortion.
My position is that abortion ought to be safe and legal since every closet in America has a coat hanger in it, and since an unloved child is liable to turn out to be full of hate (like Dick Cheney).
I say keep the pointy-hatted ones in their churches where they belong; America doesn't need a council of religious mullahs issuing edicts. That's called a theocracy and it is what we're dying to liberate people from.
Unbounded Megalomania
I have two more small points:
1. The Catholic church is against executions
2. The Catholic church is against the invasion of Iraq.
Are they with Bush, or with the terrorists?
Maybe we need to bomb the Vatican?
