Sometimes I wonder if there is so much suffering in the world because God loves making beautiful people, and if that's the only way. It's true, anyway, that Poets Against the War bloomed from the bullshit of the Bush administration.
I am glad so many poets are against the war, since I'd hate to hear cruelty beautifully rendered. One of my favorites is called "State of the Union 2003" by Sam Hamill. If you browse here I'm sure you'll find your own favorite.
