What should Nader do?

Ralph should trade his exit from the race for a commitment from Kerry to support instant run-off voting (See "The fairest vote of all", by Partha Dasgupta and Eric Maskin, March 2004, Scientific American). This would pave the way for future candidates like himself to run without harming candidates like Kerry, and that would be a great thing to accomplish.

As it stands now, Ralph isn't going to win and his campaign is not going to steal Republican votes from Bush. This is a clear-cut case of idealism that fails to accomplish its goals because it ignores reality (not unlike neo-con failures).

Here is the reality which Ralph Nader ignores:

Sorry Ralph

Don Quixote should open his eyes before he finds a field of wind-mills to charge.
