Cancer ethics

The Merck drug company developed a product called Gardasil which is proving 100% effective at fighting the dominant strain of the virus causing cervical cancer.

Hallelully right?

Praise Jeebus right?

Wrong!

It turns out that the Family Research Council feels that administering such a product as part of a national inoculation is no way to promote abstinence and so they are opposing it.

I like to refer to this as masturbatory morality because practicing it is a wholly self-indulgent pleasure.

Isn't it morally indefensible to obstruct life-saving treatments for I-in-the-sky reasons?

If your God really wants you to make people suffer horrible illness, then aren't you worshiping a prick and isn't your servitude loathsome?
