As the president Bush uses skyrocketing oil and gas prices to hand out more gifts to his rich oil buddies, particularly promoting off-shore drilling, something occurs to me.
Florida doesn't want off-shore drilling and for obvious reasons. Oil sludge on white sand beaches, and derricks in the view, make for less attractive beaches and less tourism.
So, why doesn't Obama announce he'll immediately reinstate the executive order the president Bush over-turned?
He can then challenge McCain to do the same and force him to be wishy-washy on an issue Floridians take a keen interest in.
It'd be nice to see a little offense out of the Senator from Illinois.
